about

Composing generative music leaves much to chance: one thinks up a set of rules, picks the proper material, puts it all together and presses play. Composing generatively is like playing a game, like folding a small paper ship and seeing where it sails. Some ships will sink, others may go on and on for a long time, carried along by the currents of chance. Theoretically these pieces could go on forever. The unpredictability is the beauty of it.
