about

A collection of electronic music, composed for a wide range of projects.

- "Sculptuur" uses a range of sounds built mainly from sand, water and seashells.
- "Poly7" explores computerised poly-rhythms.
- "Portret" uses the shape of a relationship. The ups and downs we knew are the literal shape of the piece.
- "Kamers" explores a main room and one of seven subrooms.
- "NIHIL" was composed in five pieces as a background for an exhibition of paper sculptures. Full recording available as ROC003.
- "Stadsplaten" is the soundscape of a large city during WWII. It is built using slowed down vinyl records and one field recording of a brassband playing the dutch anthem on Remembrance Day.
- "Slaapcyclus" is a portrait of a sleeping cycle, including time-distorted dreams. One of three compositions that got me into the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2010.
- "Friends" is built from field recordings made in rural Zambia in 2012, a lament for friends well met but now long out of reach.
